Improvements in [COVID-19] treatments are leading to better outcomes, said Mercedes Carnethon, vice chair of the department of preventive medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. “We’ve gotten better at treating it and the age group populations are younger,” she said, noting that younger people aren’t as likely to have severe or deadly cases of Covid-19.
